self generating blofeld patch? |
 |
|
hi all - just getting into the world of waldorf with my first blofeld and am amazed at the sounds ive got so far.
a question; has anyone managed to get any self generating patches going? ie: LFO triggering envelopes / chords / arpeggiators - without any midi input?
also - who has one of those editors / librarians running on a current osx os?
thanks |

I wanted to do this too. As far as I could tell, you need a note on message to get any sound out of it. _________________ www.gregwaltzer.com |

a shame - ive been getting some really nice self oscillation happening with the filters (+ LFO + arping). but i guess it needs to get triggered somehow. |

My studio is in disarray right now as am making things more ergonomic, so have not tried this on my Blofeld keyboard; has anyone tried reassigning the expression/volume pedal input to a midi cc like breath control, as one of many examples, and see if that works rather than a note-on message, esp. when wanting to "play the filters" with lfo's and envelopes?
If you have the Keyboard Blofeld, it does have a midi in where perhaps an external lfo or envelope in midi chain could do this? Just a few ideas. Midi is often overlooked as a great bag of tricks _________________ Waldorf: Blofeld, MicroQ Omega, XT, Q-Rack, PULSE PLUS, NAVE, Miniworks 4-Pole; Virus KB and KC; DSI Evolver Desktop and 2-MEK's(poly-chained)-x2; Korg: Wavestation SR, DW-8000; Alesis: Ion, Fusion--for HollowSun SampleBanks; Novation Supernova 1; Quasimidi Polymorph; Roland SH-32; Yamaha: RM1X, CS2X; Elektron Analog Four, MnM mk1; Reaper, Scarlett 18i20, Studio Maine Coone Cat pre-loaded with toxic wavetables on each fang and claw! Waldorf placed Random Patch Generators on my XT, Q, and Pulse...am I missing something hidden in a really deep menu or does this simply not exist on the Blofeld?
Am pretty sure I saw it as an option on Waldorf Nave, but have only had it since last night so I could be confusing it with another function.
Wonder of Waldorf could implement a random patch generator on Blofeld in an O.S. update, if it's not already there and missed it?! _________________ Waldorf: Blofeld, MicroQ Omega, XT, Q-Rack, PULSE PLUS, NAVE, Miniworks 4-Pole; Virus KB and KC; DSI Evolver Desktop and 2-MEK's(poly-chained)-x2; Korg: Wavestation SR, DW-8000; Alesis: Ion, Fusion--for HollowSun SampleBanks; Novation Supernova 1; Quasimidi Polymorph; Roland SH-32; Yamaha: RM1X, CS2X; Elektron Analog Four, MnM mk1; Reaper, Scarlett 18i20, Studio Maine Coone Cat pre-loaded with toxic wavetables on each fang and claw!
