Creme Just released a new Bangkok Impact 12" with the floor-friendly disco track "Do it" and a flipside containing the more mellow "Take me to your tango" and a darker, harsher remix of "Do it" by me featuring redone vocals by my friend Ellie for the extra threatning touch.

distributed by Clone, samples on the Clone site.

Notes for those interested; I was working under a heavy deadline and severely pissed off by the too hot weather, I did nearly all of it in one burst at night, drinking absynth. I couldn´t get the rather "housy" original vocals to fit so I threw Ellie (wife of Canadian composer James White) a line, begging her to do a recording of the words "do it", putting emphasis on the more authoritarian, provocative and sexual elements of that phrase, preferably at the same time :¬), I was blown away by what she send me and tried to keep her sense of timing and intonation as intact as possible within the overall structure. Also heavily features the combination of analogue delays and grain based re-synthesis and deep in there (barely audible in the final version) a severly mutated version of pulsetrainsynthesis which I had to do by hand in a wave editor. Carefully calibrated to be as messed up as it can be within a disco club context to the best of my abilities.

Mastered by Alden Tyrel and cut both beautifully and extremely loudly (now there´s a art!) at Record Industry in Haarlem. The sleeve and centre labels are once again by my friend and one of my favourite artists Godspill. Vinyl only.[/url]
