Rob, looks fine. I can take a (hint hint) and do 60 minutes. Not sure how that shuffles things.

I may be able to join in on the collab, depending on when our day guests leave. Current estimate has their departure around 22GMT. They have little kids, so it might be a bit earlier. I will know by the day of.

Thanks.

OK, you have an hour now, start time unchanged. Thanks! Smile

Blue Hell and Robert Dorschel have been moved back by 30 minutes.

Hey folks... what's the link to the actual broadcast channel gonna be for listeners? Just on the standard EM radio link page? Or another? Also, is there a poster?

Great! We need a name for it... Ring Jam? Orbit Remix? Tumble Driver?

Suggestions welcome.

Edit: Ring Thing is good too.

Yes, the main channel: http://srv3.electro-music.com/~janpunter/play.php/port_8050.m3u

I will finish the poster later. There is a preliminary poster in the first post of this thread.

OK, here's a thought for the hour which is the break, ie 22:00 - 23:00...

It may be messy, but it's an experiment so here goes:

Several (minimum 2) people stream in a circular fashion, listening to one other streamer and sending it on to the next. The only rule is that you have to change the incoming stream in some way, be it using effects or trying to interpret it using your own instrument (or even voice). You may also add your own material if you wish.

It has to start off in some way, so it starts by everyone playing something until they hear something coming into their player, at which point you may continue to play or concentrate on changing the material.

Everyone records their outgoing stream and posts it after. It is therefore perhaps not really a live (or at least centralised) event, but it should be interesting anyhow.

If it's in a loop with the last person streaming back to the first person then it'll be exactly what I had in mind for Mr. Kite's Public Cyclotron Show clown .
I did a test at some point of which a segment was played on Organized Sound and I think I even have a half finished poster for it some where.

The idea was to use all public ports (but private ports work aswell) and listeners can tune in to any of those ports to listen to the cyclotron at different stages.

Yes, that's exactly it! I do remember someone mentioning it but I couldn't recall who.

I ran "midsommarkrans" through google translate and it said "midsummer wreath". Dunno if that sounds as good in english as it does in swedish... :/ Anyway, "Midsummer Stream Wreath", maybe?

For those who wonder what I'm talking about:

Hmm, in the end I decided I needed something descriptive for it this time..

Besides, it almost looks like "Midsummer Wrath". Laughing

Great! But how would I indicate that I'm done to the stream? As in, so the standard stream picks up when I'm done? Or the moderator knows I'm done, via chat?

You let it be known in the chat, so a stream operator can switch back to playlist.
