Hi,
I'm a fan of all things electronic (among other styles of music/artists e.g post-rock, metal, Jeff Buckley) and have decided to start posting my own music on-line. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but trying to craft my own style nevertheless. Would welcome any feedback or suggestions on my first available download:

If you like enough, happy to send you a free download code! Please get in touch (e.g. Twitter: @DS_convertible), looking forward to seeking out new contacts, ideas etc on this site.
Many thanks |

Welcome!
Can you tell a bit more of yourself? Your set-up, your DAW, the kind of genre you like to produce?

Thanks for the reply
My musical background is one of playing in local bands, until work/family took over. I enjoy songwriting and, although probably at fledgling level in terms of production skills (!), am trying to capture a mixture of things I like and turn it into something cohesive. Some kind of prog-postrock-electronica blend I guess!
Set up: just trying to manage with what I have at the moment... I mainly use the Nanostudio app, which I personally find really useable (although happy to be educated otherwise), along with an iRig pro, guitar and keyboard. It's likely a very basic set-up, I wish I could devote more time to it really. Do you have any opinions on alternatives (specially ones that are 'wallet-friendly'!)?
Would also welcome any suggestions regarding publicising music on-line?
Look forward to engaging with this forum, cheers! |

Are these apps for mobile platforms? I have not heard of them.
About wallet-friendly, there are some free DAW's avalable. I dont know what OS you are using, but this one is very very low budget: http://ardour.org/download.html it works on linux and OSX.
Google for open-source daw and im sure you will find plenty of daw's.
But every DAW works different and there are a lot of DAW's out there. It really depends on your budget what you could get, really. |

Appreciate the reply, thanks. Yes, Nanostudio is an app for mobile devices e.g. iPad. Not compared with other software, but I'm a big fan.
If you are interested, I've uploaded some more tracks - available for free! Welcome any feedback Cheers
