Kia Ora from the lovely island of New Zealand!

My names Mike and my current project is called The Yawning Abyss. I've been at this music thing on and off since 2003. I started doing music with my computer as a hobby and also an alternative creative outlet since back then I made my bread as a commercial artist. My project at that time was called the theory of one and I put out 7 records and one EP from 2003 to 2007.

I was quite involved with several music forums back in the day but repetitive stress injuries and other life events conspired to curtail any extra computer type activities for awhile.

Originally I'm from the US but moved out here to NZ back in 2010. Around 2011 I started making music again after a long break.

I love music and I'm a fan of many different styles and genres. I found this forum recently and I liked many of the tracks I heard here so I thought I'd introduce myself to the community here and hopefully get to know some other musicians and their music.

Nice to see you! Between here and MW, there seems to be a few synth guys here in Aotearoa. Don't think I've seen any in my neck of the woods, though (Wanganui.)
