BeatsAudio problem?? |
 |
|
i apologize for my ignorance
the computer is a windows 8.1 desktop.
I would like to create instrumental music with a midi keyboard/controller and the computer.
on the computer, when i listen to music at (more or less) high volume, it makes a noise like that of a helicopter in slow motion.
if i understand what i read online, the problem is perhaps caused by beatsaudio.
they say to keep beatsaudio as it is, and to buy an external soundcard.
my question is : if i install asio4all and an external soundcard, will beatsaudio stop creating problems? or did i misunderstand?
in advance, thank you very much |

I had heard of Beats Audio, but knew nothing about it. It looks like a $350 pair of headphones. If a $350 pair of headphones makes unwanted noise, I would return them and get a full refund. It sounds like you have done some research and others have had the similar problems. Perhaps you could look for updated drivers, assuming the manufacturer is still supporting them. For $350, I would hope the manufacturer provides their own ASIO drivers.
ASIO4ALL is very nice if your equipment doesn't have ASIO drivers, but I would go with well-written drivers from the manufacturer first.
Also, if your PC has an internal sound card, you might want to disable that in case that is causing interference with the Beats Audio drivers.
Hope this helps.

thanks for your answer
sorry, my mistake. i didn't make clear that the beatsaudio i'm talking about is a control panel (software) bundled with the computer. all drivers are up to date.
thank you. |
