I was wondering if anyone here had experimented with inputting CV to the G1 using the Control Pedal input.

I've measured the voltage provided at the ring and it was around 4,2v, so I just connected my theremin, using a diode to protect the Nord from negative voltage (the theremin output didn't seem to exceed 4,8v). While this worked quite fine, it was a bit buggy sometimes (it stopped working and I had to unplug and reconnect the CV) and I totally chickened out.

Should I be alright with my current setup and I'm just a coward?? Does anyone know the safe voltage range for the pedal input?

Otherwise, should I use some extra protection? I have no idea what that could be... maybe some way to clip the signal at 5v to avoid overloading the input? Or a capacitor to protect it agains higher voltage spikes the theremin may send? (huh?)

It also seems a (less precise but) safer solution using a vactrol, but I don't see how I could connect a single resistor in place of an expression pedal.

Also, I guess I could use an external VCA but I'd like to find a simpler solution.

Any ideas??? Thanks!
