i'm using an MPC 2000XL as my main sequencer/master MIDI clock. i am trying to create a patch that has two linked event sequencers to get a 32 step sequence. i can start the sequncers and everything is fine. i stop the MPC and the sequencers stop, but when i start the MPC from the top beginning of the sequence, the event sequencers do not start on step 1, they continue from their current position.

if i connect the rst to sync both sequencers run at the same time, but i do get the behaviour i am looking for with regard to the restarting at step 1.

notice that both sequencers have step 4 lit.

i must be doing something wrong, but i have no idea. anyone know what the solution is?

Hey,

Make sure both sequencers have 32 steps,
but most important of all,

Instead of linking CLK of your first sequencer to SYNC, link it to ACTIVE.
The problem should be solved then.

Cool
