I hope I'm posting in the right section with this question. Please point in me in the right direction if I'm not!

I built this sawtooth oscillator http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-41483.html on my breadboard. Everything worked fine on +-9V (I split up the power supply with the simplest possible method of two 100k resistors.

I then built the same circuit on to stripboard for up wiring inside an enclosure. I soldered the wires to the offboard components onto the stripboard and tested it religiously at several stages using my breadboard.

Now I've wired it up inside the enclosure and everything works ok except that when I run on my 9V adapter, I get a strange distorted kind of sound from the output, almost like there's a second wave being produced.

But here's the strange bit: it works fine with a 12V adapter.

It doesn't really matter. I can run it with my 12V adapter no problem but it's quite annoying. Would anybody be able to suggest what might have happened between me testing on the breadboard and wiring in the enclosure that could have caused this. Or is it maybe the PSU itself? (Works fine for everything else it seems)

Cheers!

Would have been best to just ask the question in http://electro-music.com/forum/post-419944.html#419944 - I posted a message there pointing to here - hope that will work :-)
