My SN is A60500057. The guy I bought it from said he bought it from someone that worked at Alesis. The SN appears to lend credence to this. |

Finally got around to checking serial numbers on mine, which I bought used about four years ago. Never had a bit of trouble with it...
SN is 21 A6 003020300168 Made in Taiwan, (very well I think!)
Version 01.40.02, Build 9-20-2001
Been using my modular and Klee sequencer almost exclusively last couple of years, just rediscovered what a great synth the Andy is...and relatively how easy to get great sounds....
The modular has opened my understanding of the Andy...now not at all confusing! |

Mine is:
21 A6 00 30 20 400530
Does it mean it's one of the early ones, i.e. made in USA or is it Taiwanese?
Where I can find "Made in X" sign? Can't find it... |

Okay, I've just bought a used one for €2800 here in Germany. It has two keys with scratches and a few scratches on the side panels, everything else looks perfect. There's an authorized Alesis repair center right around the corner from where I live, and they say, replacing the keys is trivial, but the side panels need to be ordered from the US. I'll have them do that. Technically, and soundwise, everything works as expected. Just upgraded to OS 1.40.13.
Serial is (21) A1 04 07 04 5700020
Does that mean the unit was built in 2004?
Cheers,
Helge |

My Andy doesn't have a serial number
Is there any way of finding out what the SN is without the sticker?
And I certainly do NOT have the original manual |

Late to the party...as usual mine is
(21)A60500631....from what I've read, it's an early version, and it's rock solid.
It froze on me once, and that's it. I love mine! |

Mine is: (21)A6003020400556 purchased new in February of 2004
The serial number is on the unit, on the inside cover of the manual, and on the outside of the original box. |

Hi guys, I have the oportunity to buy an A6. I was reading the post but if I understand well the thing is there are some units in bad state working but there is no other way to know it than check each voice for yourself...
The owner will send me the synth but to save him the shipping costs in case the synth is not working well here is his serial number:
(21)A6003020800059
If somebody can tell me if this serial is part of the fault batch would be great to know it. Thanks in advance. |

Andromeda and serial number |
|
|
Hello
On mine there is 2 numbers:
At the backside with a barecode: (21) A6003030900001
On the bottom with also a barecode : 6 94318 00457 9
It's a second hand and with the information that I had found in this thread it was made in 2003 or 2004 in Taiwan. |

My Andy |
|
|
Here I am!
My Andy has this serial:
(21)A6003030900079
If I'm right, it should be serial number 79 and build date 3rd of march 2009 - am I right?
I bought it used like a bit more than a month ago for a very good price Has the latest .13 firmware and sounds perfect on each voice/oscillator.
How am I supposed to tell, where it has been built?
Thanks,
Flavio. |
