Finished soldering up the Bastl Tea Kick and RYO 3xVCA, so had a noodle with those, the Living VCOs (finished this week), and the Mikrophonie (finished this friday, going through a delay and reverb.)

Started noodling with crossfading between square and sine with the WaveWiper, and it mutated from there. Lots of Tea Kick tuned BD, and somewhat-noise from the Orgone Accumulator through the Wasp VCF.

960 did a lot in this one... the 960's clock got multed to the Klee, the PS3100 Resonator's sync, and /4 to trigger one of the Braids (after I got tired of manually triggering it.) So it was as much to try it out a bit. The column 7 out also got used to trigger an ADSR for FM on that note, on one of the Braids.

The Mikrophonie into the oscillating minimoog VCF, OTOH, was purely for my own fun.

Wow, you've really gone on the "deep" end with these...I think my ears are feeling "nauseated" for the first time ever! Surprised

This started with the simple goal of plugging the Infinitphase clone I built into the modular (through the CGS60), just to have a play around.

I got a very neat organ sound initially in Navigating, but lost it while playing with settings... I guess this is why I need to develop a habit of hitting Record while messing around!

The Infinitphase was using the internal sequencer for the phase LFO, but it was a pretty simple wave. That's the swooshy thing you can hear in the back.

I'm not sure where the planet Neptune came into it! Maybe I was thinking of Phobos' Moon Base.

Was looking forward to hearing your unique take on the whole mess as you promised, but not any more. Sorry.

Initial thought with this one was using the Out and Inverted Out of an ADSR to run two VCA's for the same oscillator output, but with the Inverted VCA running a wet version, and non-inverted running straight oscillator out.

At about 1m30, it somehow became the Orgone Accumulator wanting to play along as well, but not being as good at playing the same notes. Or sounding clean and spacey.

The only modules used were the Braids (in NOIS), and the Serge Resonant Equalizer Mk II.

WARNING: This track gets damn loud, and might cause damage to speakers.

Nah, it never gets above 0 dB, can't hurt the speakers.

What a mess!

But this mess has some nice acoustic qualities Cool It sounds a bit like one big spun out onset of a huuuge reed instrument.

It may not be as harmful to speakers as us folk wearing headphones, the volume was at 20% and my ears were still ringing! This "song" is like the wind...only the wind is cutting away at your face. XD

Core of this patch was the Buchla 208 Random module, which modulated the clock, triggered some envelopes on the Rampage (one of which was used as a delayed trigger on the Falling output), and provided pitch CV to the two Braids (one on PLUK, the other on RING.)

No pun intended, but this one sounds awfully good...it's something about that delayed dropping phasing sound that reels me in. Smile

Believe it or not, this track started simply with an idea for a hi-hat sound. (Pink noise into a high-pass filter, with an inverted EG dipping the CV into audible frequencies when I wanted a hi-hat. I wound up running it through a VCA, too much hiss otherwise.) Then the Tea Kick was added, then I had an idea for a metronome-y click. (Self-oscillating Minimoog VCF, CV from a brief trigger out from the Rampage.)

Then I started messing with the Dunno, and I thought, this could be an interesting showcase, maybe.

I've been playing around with krell-like patching, and generative music, since I built the 208RND and Dunno. I had a good patch going, so I streamed it on a public port, and Dave and Sonic (gluttons for punishment, obviously) had a listen.

I'm obviously biased, but I think it came out nicely. The bass comes in maybe five to eight minutes in, I think.

This last one was kind of awful, but not as ear-wrenching as some of your previous releases. This one is more on the quiet side....for 92 minutes(!!!) Shocked

Well, it was one of those patches where it's hard to bring yourself to turn the synth off! (Or mess with it too much.)

I've been dipping into these over the last few days and really like the sounds that are coming out - this is very much where my own head is at the moment.

I'll have to have a dig into my own little archive of awfulness - IIRC there's a couple of real headrippers lurking in there Twisted Evil

Still did not find time to listen to the whole thing, but heard some fragments and liked those. So, will keep it on the todo list :-)

Mucking around with the working pt2395 delay, and had a nice CV-in for the delay (a triangle LFO, in turn CV'ed by another triangle LFO.)

Wound up having stuff added.

I found the pattern in this one! At some points, it sounds like final boss theme music of the formerly popular Chrono Trigger (SNES) game, lol! This makes me wonder if SQUARE Inc. (the developer of the game) used this method to conjure up such a theme, hahaha!
