Hi everyone!

My name is Nathan Carlson, and I am an electronic music composer from the land of the Kangaroo I compose Trans Dimensional Impulse Music, Geographitronica and Planetarytronica. If anyone is interested check out my soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/nathan-carlson-official and I have a new album out in October called Trans Northern, inspired by the Trans-Siberian Express.

I compose music about nature, space, roads, factories, Soviet housing blocks, rivers, anything of that nature. My goal is to create a sort of musical documentary of the world and what I see and experience within it, so when I'm gone there's a record of what I consider to be interesting, beautiful and sad in the world.

My influences begin with Jean-michel Jarre, Vangelis and Kraftwerk, and from there so many other artists and experiences come together in my mind and heart to create this music.

Well, I cleared out some time to listen and so far you have exceeded my expectations. You use sounds and styles that have been around for a while, but the way you combine them is refreshing and original. So far, the audio quality sounds top-notch. Thanks for sharing!!

Addendum: I'm still listening and just for the fun of it, I googled transdimensional impulse music. The third hit (after two for impulsemusic), was http://electro-music.com/forum/post-421535.html . Then two for your websites, with a single impulsemusic in between.

So, I'm sticking with my original "impulse"--creative name for your genre and refreshingly creative music!!

Hey Steve! Cheers for checking out the music, and yes they are my own terms - I wanted to create a style that was mine, and I wanted to create my own kind of 'genres' if you like. I'm listening to one of your tunes as I write this, liking what I hear do you use soundcloud? Or have a website etc.?
