Here are two recordings of Mozart's Rondo a'la Turk:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Rondo alla Turca (from "Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major", KV 331 (300i))

These are from a MIDI file created by B. Fisher (sorry, that's all I have).

Both were recorded using my KS16 Karplus-Strong 16 voice MIDI polysynth. One used a more harp like timbre, the other used a more harpsichord like timbre. There's a bit of Audacity reverb in both.

Those nicely show what the synth can do!

And IMO the low timbre one works best for the piece, but its nice to hear the possible FX on the other one.

That's really what I was trying to do. With 8 controls that affect the sound it's difficult to get one setting that's best for everything, so this shows sort of 2 different "extremes" of the range. I can sit here and twizzle knobs on this all day...

EDIT ADD:
And I agree, I like the harpish one better. After all, from my experience, if there's one thing KS does well, it's harp. I want to see if I can improve the harpsichord one. Will also look into ways of limiting sustain as note number is lowered in a way that can be controlled.

To resurect an old post:

Just heard this on radio 1. Very nice. I like the precision of the timing when Mozart, and others, is played by a machine. Some might find it too mechanical, but to me it's more soothing not have my mind interrupted by a performers "artistic" adjustments.

Thanks
