Advice on how to start an electronic rock band

I'm from Denver, CO and I'm having trouble getting hits from local musicians on craigslist and bandmix to audition for my band. I'm curious if you think I might be going about starting a band in this genre the wrong way.

I figured that I get a keyboardist and a drummer; which since there are a number of arpeggiators and synth samples in my music that are hard to re-create live, I'd have the drummer use in-ear monitors hooked up to a laptop with those samples run as backing tracks to the venue house-system when playing shows.

What do ya think? Also, feel free to let me know if maybe there are suggestions/feedback about the music itself which you think could be the issue
