Simplest Way to Mix Desktop Sounds with USB MIC for VoIP ??

Hello Wonderful People!

Anyone have suggestions for the easiest/simplest way to mix my desktop VLC player (let's say) Wav file sounds with my USB Rode Podcaster MIC for use over VoIP??

Yes, one way would be to buy an Audio Interface. But anything simple (and inexpensive) to do it via software on my desktop?

I'm aware of VoiceMeeter Banana, for example -- and I know this will work -- but even this is presenting as a bit complicated for me.

Anything like it -- but SIMPLER?

(I know, I know.... How much more simple can you expect, man? It's ALL IN THE MANUAL!) But I haven't managed to conquer it yet.

Maybe there's a better way? What do you think?
