Saving Wav data within wren patch. Subject description: Consolidation of WAV. data within patch .pch file. |

It is little cumbersome when one have over a dozen loop players or any wav module after loading a patch to load every file to the right place. Is it possible to Consolidate that data within patch file To make it "monolith" type of thing ? |

Not sure what you mean there .. as a patch should remember the locations of the wave files .. and so reopen them when you load it - is that not happening for you?
So in a way a patch is a bit like a project file, but with how it works right now it is best to have all projects in one place.
Maybe this could be changed, by making a new "project layer" over it in which only the location of the project is kept in a Wren sub-folder (and where all the files associated with it and all the settings for Wren itself associated with it can be kept at any place you like)[?] _________________ Jan

Yes i think when i copied patch to another machine wavs did not come back because folder structure was diffrent. Im thinking about combining all needed data in pch. file like .mid .wav scala etc. It would be simpler to transfer or backup of patches and they would then be fully "portable". Maybe with some resonable size limit. |

Very nice feature. I miss it from nord. One thing more i miss are morph knobs or some macros for knobs. Maybe im doing something wrong but in wren morph knobs working somewhat in a different manner. I used to use one morph knob to morph to some point of patch at max level then next one even further, in this way i had starting patch intakt. I've tried that with wren without succes. Maybe i missing something. One obstacle i came across too are envelopes. Ive tried too build some rough emulation (aproximation;)) of yamaha opl chip but i cannot go close with envelopes easy way. Some yamaha and ensoniq style envelopes would be very handy with some stepping option (for dx and opl) to do some close emulations. Modosc module sounds nice for this but i've give up after some hours on envelopes because I failed to match they acceptably. I suspect that somehow it can be built with wren modules but I lack knowledge with logic stuff unfortunately so far. |
