Hi,

i'm a beginner in the electronic diy world, but i would like to make a box who can mute and unmute audio signal using a piezo as trigger.

i'm a drummer and i use also electronic devices, i'm now using a mixer with mute buttons but the idea would be to control the mute via piezo and be able to use pads instead of pressing by hand on a mixer while i'm drumming.

I saw this video
https://youtu.be/7NTnDsLUDzQ

and i was wondering if i could combine this circuit to a low pass gate
and how the schema would look like. I'm really dumb in schematics, but i'm learning.

maybe there is a better way to do it...?
If somebody have some other ideas or exemple of schematic that could help me i would appreciate a lot... Idea Laughing Idea

Thank you in advance!
Tatie

welcome party!

In theory that should work however you might get some bleedthrough even when the lowpass gate is 'closed'.
A low pass gate is nice though as it is less likely to result in clicks when unmuting which can happen with an
electronic switch. I'd say try it out and if the results are unsatifactory then I or someone else might be able to
suggest other options.
