Hello,

Rob!! I thought Wren had a noise gate in an earlier version? I can't seem to locate it? Or is there one?

Thanks again!!

Hi!

Looking through older notes .. nope .. the word gate and the word noise are both present .. but not next to each other. I guess it never had one, or else I forgot Shocked

A noise gate is just that it cuts out everything below some settable level, right .. with some attack and release time ... let me try something ...

Would something like this:

work for you?

You can fiddle a bit with the Envelope times (it is an envelope follower module BTW .. was a bit lazy giving it it's name at the time, it seems).

With the rightmost knob on the mixer module you can sort of set the level .. or the bleed trough of the unwanted signal .. not sure how to name that function.

You can als try RMS mode for the env. follower .. but peak seems to work best for what I put into it right now.

I've made a simple one as a module ... https://bluehell.nl/wren/modules.html#385

It is available in the current pre-release : https://bluehell.nl/wiekietje/pmwiki.php/Wren/PreRelease

Let me know if it is any good Smile
