Sorry, this page is only in German, so I have to use google to translate it.
I think this is yet another G1 editor not posted here before. It only runs on OSX though. Sources aren’t available yet, not sure why.

Please report your results.

Downloads from: http://byte-order.com/site/forums.html/2020/07/16/new-nord-modular-editor-osx-byte-order/

The thing did immediately crash here btw when i inserted a module .. so .. erm .. i guess i did something wrong Laughing

Edit: So I retried it .. but now it wont let me insert any modules at all Shocked .. ah .. have to open a new file before crashing it with inserting a new module. Maybe it needs a working connection with the Nord, I have it disconnected right now.

Edit2: soo.. I opened it as a VSTi in Reaper .. same things happen then, except that reaper crashes with it.

Edit3: it may be Nomad based?

Jan - I've sent a message to the author and suggested that he join this forum and contact you directly. He may already be a member too.

The author said that the NM needs to be connected first, before running the editor. Hopefully he will fix this.
Hes adding Micro support now.

Hello everybody, any news about this editor. It is a brilliant idea to add an Audio Unit and VST version. I'm tempted to buy a G1 again (still have the MM which is currently not supported by the editor).
But does it work smoothly and stabile? Can I open old patches I did with the old editor (the one embedded in Wine)?
Thanks and cheers!

Currently running this editor on my Macbook with Mojave. Micromodular working splendidly. so much so, i just bought a G1... cyclops

Previously i was running the other editor in Wine- it worked fine but my MIDI connection would drop over and over. much more stable with this editor(so far...)

I've just picked up a Nord G1 partly due to the existence of this editor. I have noticed something strange though, and this may be documented, but I can't find it anywhere. The editor generally works fine for me as a VST or Stand-alone on High Sierra, but crashes whenever I load patches created in 1999! 2000 and above are fine, but the ones created in 1999 100% crash it without fail. This took me a while to realise what the problem was, usual troubleshooting of midi interface etc.
Just thought I'd post my finding here in case someone is experiencing this same issue. I'd be interested to see if anyone can also replicate this. If so, I can contact the developer to let them know. Great software though. Smile

This editor is so slick looking ! It works super nice her on my iMac running OS 10.15.
However, I couldn't make the VST work, no sure how to install to be honest.

Got the AU version working. Seems to work just fine (and saves your patch within the DAW!).

Just tried this editor today, on my MacBook Pro with macOS Catalina, and am having some problems when it comes to save and load patches...

I mean, I can actually save patches, but it doesn't let me go beyond the Documents folder to save it (any folder inside the Documents folder doesn't appear).

And when it comes to load, it doesn't even see the patch I just saved... :S

Has anyone experienced these issues?

Otherwise, it seems to work well!

It's also a shame it doesn't let you create your patches without having the Nord attached...

Sometimes you have an idea and want to just give it a quick try at patching to try later when you are in the studio, and like this, it's sadly impossible... Sad
