Boss DR-110 LCD issue

Hi,

is anyone familiar with partially missing programming dots on the display? Image below.

The box works, plays, programmes all instruments.. seems too, but you can't see which steps, apart from the accent row.
I've done the boot mode and everything else is showing up okay, except C.Hat, O.Hat, Snare Drum, Bass Drum dotage.
Schematics point towards IC1 being skewiff.. any knowledge of it out there?
