Eurorack panels Subject description: Eurorack panels for MPS in the UK/Europe |
|
|
Hi All,
Can you get any Eurorack panel for the MPS, or a design I could get made up?
I’ve read that powering from a Eurorack 12v will work, can anyone confirm this.
Any help much appreciated,
Saul |

posting the recent updates to create a euro- DIY version of the MPS, with a panel by papernoise and panel daughterboard by barcode- which eliminates the need for flying wires to pots, jacks and switches. Sales of each MPS PCB still contribute to the E-M forum consistent with our support of the MPS and Klee PCBs.

These look great! I've actually been given three partly populated boards, so I was hoping to adapt these for eurorack?
What are import tax like from US to Uk?
Cheers,

its totally compatible with eurorack- these panels meet that euro standard. the panel daughterboard PCBs attach to the main PCBs using pin headers, and eliminate the need for flying wires to jacks, pots and switches. barcode did the panel pcb to complement the papernoise panel and the henry main PCB.
shipping for panels is usually US$7 to $US15 depending on the weight. _________________ web store: www.synthcube.com/cart

Your URL is broken, but it's obvious enough what you're linking to....
I'd hack a Euro cable to have an MTA-156 or MTA-100 on the end of it. The voltages on the PCB are clearly labelled....standards for Euro Power such as they are are also documented (red stripe is -V, on a ribbon you'll have two -Vs then 6 grounds, then two +Vs).
You'll have to look over the substitutions made to do this as a Euro project, that seems more of a concern than the power connection.... |

Excellent thanks. I could probably fashion something similar from stripboard that would do the job.
Don't suppose anyone has a link for the euro subs? I thought I'd read you could run it on 12v without any |

I may be remembering incorrectly.
In any case though I'd use the BOM from the Synthcube build docs, that will be certain you have Euro friendly parts. |

Thomas Henry MPS build Subject description: Finally completed this build. |
|
|
I ordered the PCB from Synthcube last fall, placed it in my build queue and finished it last week.
First thought? a cowbell!!! using the ring modulator. Then messing around I got a wood block, triangle (for those in class who remember). Fairly muffled snare, some toms, muffled kick, shotgun, laser... a Shotgun!!
The neighbours think I am messed. The only sad part is that I should have built several of these. They trigger well on my big sequencer. I built mine into a salvaged box and painted it like a 'dangerous object'.
Again, thank you to Thomas Henry and the multitude of folks that provide build input.
the build is here: http://sixbyseven.ca/mega-percussive-synth/ _________________ Young enough to enjoy techno, old enough to remember a Z80 and tiny-C. |

Tuning Subject description: Is it possible to tune to a standard like v/oct? |

I want to be able to tune the oscillator of the synth so it matches some of my other instruments. Is it possible to dial in something like v/oct scale? |

"on none on" and "on on" are the same thing. "on none on" is used to distinguish between "on off on" which have 3 positions. with "none" there are only 2 positions, same as "on on". |
