I am having the "Out of Memory" error on the editor when I connect my Clavia Nord Modular G1 Rack…

So I was wondering, is there an easy way to just delete all the sounds in memory using the Clavia Nord Modular G1 Rack own interface?

Is that I am remembering I had an issue before with it, I wanted to copy all the sounds in memory and I remember there was an issue with the sounds in one of the banks, so I was thinking it would be safer to just do that…

Also, yesterday I had this system working just fine, except that when I was loading a new sound into memory, the new window for that sound would appear empty until I would click on it, then all the modules would appear…
Is this an initial symptom of the "Out of Memory" issue or can it mean something more?
My Clavia Nord Modular G1 Rack can sometimes be a bit slow… I think it's just the buttons that need some cleaning but am now a bit worried it might be some issue with the CPU?
Or am I just panicking and being a bit paranoid?

Thank you all in advance, best regards, Paulo

Hmm .. on windows eh?

If I recall correctly .. this is a windows error .. and not a synth error .. in which case it would not make much sense to clear everything.

Anyway, I know no quick way to erase all patches ...

And it may even have to do more with MIDI Shocked ... again .. iirc ...

Forgot to mention but I was using my turstworthy iMac G5!

But it is all sorted!
Fortunately in my library there was an empty bank and it seems that if you change the sounds in all your slots to different ones, there is a chance the problem is sorted!
I just wanted to delete the sounds to make sure it wouldn't happen again!

So I got it to work properly!

The only "weird" thing is that, when I try to save a sound, if I reach the unused slots and go backwards to slots that have sounds, it will tell me they are unused as well…

For it to display the actual sound names again I have to twist the main knob to change the sound (when it's reading from the memory it knows the names), click on the slot button to quit that process and save again…

Is this a known bug or can it be a bad sign???

That's the only thing worrying me…

Otherwise, I did a small session to create new sounds to fill the memory and it went great!

By the way Jan, since you seem a bit confused, I post a link to the other post where I found out what the problem was!

https://electro-music.com/forum/topic-46134.html?fbclid=IwY2xjawHtUdlleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHXmtACBdVr4LpNcgiWxWNJ3530YElfCcxvXClGOYuqa7fAf_Y-dU_XhzKA_aem_grsJWVIyseXF2IOmtTZIiA

It seems to be pretty much just a patch that is corrupt and it prevents proper connection from the editor with the synth!

As I found out afterwards, I think just having other patches in all different slots (even in the inactive ones), can fix the issue, but if you go back the corrupt patch, you might have the same problem again…

Since I remember there was an issue copying all the patches from one of the banks into my computer, I decided to just clean the memory and make sure I won't have this issue again!

I think this will also make me want to come up with some extra patches, so I think it was a good idea to do this!
