After all this time, I wasn’t aware there is a service manual available to the public for the G2, u til today.

Notice the diode/cap safety fix for the USB circuit too..

Had you heard about this before my post? I'm thinking It might be a good idea to install the USB safety fix, many people have had USB issues over the years (although the two may not be related). I wonder if Clavia ever installed this fix in later G2s.

There are some SW tests in there too, but there is mention some compatibility issues with the latest (?) G2 OS/FW

I had seen it before .. maybe here .. but i forgot .. and did not now quickly find it on the site here.

The service manual says over the diodes "clavia uses" 1n4001 i think it says .. but anyway, such suggests that clavia did actually use it .. what for .. I don't know :)
