A rather last-minute notice about the following workshop - probably of
most interest to people in the UK. It is organized by the UK's
EPSRC-funded Digital Music Research Network (www.dmrn.org).

Best wishes,

Mark Plumbley

PS Registration is free, but please register ASAP if you are coming (so we
can plan for catering etc).

Digital Music Research Network (DMRN)
one-day Workshop on

"The Future of Digital Music Research?"

Mon 22 December 2003
Queen Mary, University of London

Speakers include:

* Xavier Serra (Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona).
* Tim Brookes (Inst of Sound Recording, Surrey)
* Ambrose Field (Dept of Music, University of York)
* Geraint Wiggins (City University, London)

The afternoon will include an opportunity to contribute to the DMRN
Research Roadmap through small group discussions.

For details and registration forms, see
http://www.elec.qmul.ac.uk/dmrn/events/dmrn03/

As for the Launch Day that we held in December last year, registration is
free and some travel support is available for young researchers.

Please pass on to other people in your group who might be interested, and
let us know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions.
