Hi!

I'm curious as to how the delay lines in the G2 are implemented. I can think of three possibilities. In the examples below w(t) is the position in the delay memory that is written to at the time t, r(t) is the position being read from, dt is the delay time in samples, and dr is the delay range:

1) w(t) increases with every sample over dr, and r(t) = ( w(t) - dt ) mod dr

2) r(t) increases with every sample over dr, and w(t) = ( r(t) + dt ) mod dr

3) w(t) increases with every sample over dt, and ( r(t) = w(t) + 1 ) mod dt (this means that only dt samples are used for delay memory, but dr samples are preallocated)

Current experiments in abusing the delay lines leads me to guess that the answer is 1), but I'm not sure. If this is the case, then it could be useful (in some future OS update) to be able to fine-tune the delay range to match BPM settings etc, as well as optimise memory usage.

Any insights?
