"Some Days" and "Altered Days" released Subject description: best of and reconstructions |

Hi Folks.
The final two installments of the Harmonium Diaries series have been released.
"Some Days" is a compilation of my favourite pieces from the series; 2 pieces from each album. There are 5 mp3s from this album available, although those of you who have followed the series will have listened to these already.
"Altered Days" is a reconstruction album, consisting of 13 reconstructions by 13 different artists, including our very own elektro-80, Ponk, and Michael Chocholak.
There are 30 second mp3 samples of each piece here:

Have a listen, they are very cool.
Cheers
Chris |

Hmm.. I gotta get "Altered Days" myself.
There are some slight clipping on both some of the MP3 samples I found online. As far as I know the 24bit wave master file for "How To Remember" was pretty clean. Is this caused by the ripping to MP3? There is some clipping or something on red MC´s "red storm after midnight " too. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

Don't worry Stein, a copy is on it's way! All the people involved get copies of the album.
About that clipping, it must come from my mp3 converter, as the album sounds fine, so no worries. I will fix up the samples asap.
There has been a bit of interest in the album, with some very favourable comments regarding the reconstructions. Well done to all those involved!

I am contemplating "Lost Days"
Sort of outakes, pieces that didn't fit onto each months album.
I wonder whether there would be demand for such an album....... |

Cheers Michael. Thanks for your contribution to the album. A fine piece.
Regarding the cover, I am particularly plaesed witn it. Whereas the original albums had to look naturalish, I felt this album could certainly look a bit more "altered", and I finally had a chance to experiment a bit more. BTW, I have had many comments on he photos, that I am now doing them seperately from the music. Crickey. |
