Question from a dummy guy ! Subject description: Nord lead G1 internal routing.... |
 |
|
Hello,
I bought some days ago a G1 modular.. I bought it as I wanted to complete my panel of sounds and effects.
As I have 4 outputs and 4 dsp in it... I would like to know if the following process is feasible:
1 - Slot A: Synth Sound
I create a synth sound on the slot A; for instance a MOOG sound
This sound is routed to Slot B.
2- Slot B: Effect
On this slot I have a delay effect
** Do you know if it feasible that the sound from slot A goes to Slot B ? like this I get a delay effect on top of the Moog sound?
Perhaps another way is to add at the end of my first moog Sound a delay effect ?
** Another dummy questions is, can I have on the 4 slots A, B, C, D, 4 sounds different playing at the same time on the output ? I am teling you this as I noticed that if I select Slot A, then SLot B, the sound cuts ...
Thanks a lot for your help !!
Regards,
Stephane |

Glad to have you here and congrats on your new NM. Welcome to the world of crazy patchers.
I got rid of my NM when I got my G2 a few years ago. So I'll answer from memory which may be wrong.
I don't think you can route audio from one slot to another in the G1. I think audio busses is something that they originated in the G2. You can use a patch cord on go out and back in through the I/O jacks.
You certainly can play all 4 slots simultaniously. When you push the buttons on the front panel to select the slots, press several down at the same time. You can get any combination of slots to come on. _________________ --Howard

And maybe lookup the "keyboard focus" concept in the manual. _________________ Jan

one of things i love most about the modular is that there's always something so blatently obvious i never think to do it. this, for example. i can't believe i never thought of this in my three years as a NM user, and my world is fully prepared for being rocked. _________________ music: teamabunai.org/oao
