Hello People!
I just got across this little Midi CV converter Ray built. What would I do without Ray!
http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/midi2cv.htm
What´s really cool is that it doesn´t need any microprocessors and stuff (which i never got into). Just plain logic.
Anyone got some experiance with this? I use cubase and a midiman usb midisport4x4. Think it will be worth a try?
Ray has pointed out that the circuit only works with some midisources.
Well, I don´t want to get dissapointed so i´m asking you.

I have built it. I only get a +5V gate out of though. The CV is not working at all. I am not so experienced with logic circuits so I don't know how to fix it. Stupid of me not to breadboard first! Embarassed Well, someday when I have time (and the experience) maybe I could get it working ;D

That´s a pity! Maybe it´s just a little mistake. I´ve had logic circuits half working, getting cracy not finding the error. Than it´s a broken chip, bend leg, misplaced componend, pcb error. always like that!
Have you tried different midi sources? Ray also sugests to turn off any midi data this thing can´t handle, like velocity and stuff.

I use a Midistart-2 keyboard... simplest midi-keyboard there is... Embarassed I don't think that there are much more midi data than note on/of and pitch... oh, and modulation wheel + pitch bend... I could test it with my MC-505... I haven't tried that. but it uses more midi data... Confused

I have to check that pcb sometime... Rolling Eyes
