Syncing Micro to External Clock |
 |
|
Hey all. I'm trying to understand how to use the MidiGlobal module in syncing patches to an external sequencer that uses Midi clock. This patch here is triggered at a few different parts of the midi arrangement and doesn't run through the whole song so that's why I've got the Logic processor in there. The song is 116 bpm, the Clock generator module is also 116 bpm. The Micro synth setting in the editor has external 116 bpm selected and the patch sounds great and is in time......at least it SOUNDS in time to me! But am I supposed to be using the MidiGlobal module for syncing to an external clock? Or is that only for complex patches that involve multiple pattern sequences and stuff? I would do that except I don't know how to stick it into the patch! Is it supposed to replace the Clock Gen module? What's the best rule of thumb for this?

I use the MIDIGlobal module, and the ClkDivFix.
MIDIGlobal Clock output -> ClkDivFix Midi Cl input
MIDIGlobal Sync output -> ClkDivFix Rst input
Then I also use the Sync to reset sequencers and such. And I use the divider outputs to clock the stuff (usually the 16th note output) |

Thanks, but can anyone post an example I can see? Maybe take my patch, make the appropriate change and re-post it? _________________ Apple Mac Pro 2019 3.2 GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W
