Looking for an online collaborator |
 |
|
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for someone (or somepeople) to start some sort of online band with. Personally I've played the guitar for 6 years and am quite adept at it but I have no experience in the creation of electronic music.
I'm not too concerned about what genre our music would be consider but to give you examples of music that I do like, I like such varied music as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead, to Morcheeba and Portishead to Sasha or Massive Attack. My only real concern is that its creative and evokes emotion.....so if you're interested send me a message or email me (zoolake@gmail.com) or whatever. |

How are you planning to send stuff back and forth? I s'pose I should say I'm mostly interested in the process and how you are going to go about it. I do like the Chilli Peppers, Radiohead, Portishead and Massive Attack BTW. Bass, Vocals, Drum programming and Keys, that's what I get up to. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |

| To be honest I don't have a definitive plan for how to send files back and forth. I figure in the early days when our clips are relatively small we could just email them and as they get bigger we could explore new options. I don't think it should be too much of a problem with a little looking into it. |

Well,
I'm chronically busy with heaps of stuff, including two kids under 3, and a Web Design course at TAFE, but if you want to send something for me to have a go at, feel free. You've got my e-mail. I can't promise that I'll have anything done by a deadline, but it could be a good way to keep me actually thinking about composition, which I hardly get any time for these days. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |

For sending large files, there is a free service you can use at
www.sendthisfile.com
I've been using it to send large audio files between California and Spain, and it's been working beautifully.

"The present day composer refuses to sleep..."
Maybe that explains why I haven't composed anything for a while. Lately I've virtually been suffering from narcolepsy. I could fall asleep standing up at a Tool concert with 240V across my happy sac!! _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |
