Modular G2 issue |
 |
|
I just bought my nord modular g2 from Novamuzik, and opted to have the expansion card put in. It seems as though the keyboard does not work and cannot find a patch (other than the sequencers) that functions with the keys. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there some sort of easy resolution? I really hope so.
Edit: By the way this is the first post I've made in this forum. I'm 20 years old and make music under various guises. |

Did the NovaMusik tech forget to reconnect a keyboard cable? Open it up and check that all cables are connected. _________________ varice |

And don't be afraid to open it! take out all the black screws on the back, and the two on the bottom that have dimples in the metal base. Don't take the two on the side that have a plastic washer -- those are the hinge. If you need more details, clavia's website has a manual for the expansion board, which includes installation/opening it.
I agree with the keyboard cable being unplugged. Should be easy to plug it back in. |

Ahhh good stuff, guys. I was bashful to open it seeing as it might void the warranty, but I've solved the problem by spelunking the digital depths of the beast. It wasn't much fun to play with sans keyboard!
Still kind of suprised that they wouldn't have done that themselves. My only guess is that they knocked it out while putting in the expansion board (thats why I put that info in the original post).
Sadly, I reverted to an earlier OS while piddling about with the software. Oh well... easily repaired.
See ya! |

Good to hear that it was just a simple problem and easy to fix!
Now have some fun with your new expanded G2! _________________ varice |
