I have it installed and I love the idea and the look but my laptop's grapgical card can't take it. For now I'm running the miniaudicle when I'm quickly trying stuff out. For that it's realy good. I still run larger projects from the comand line version, for one thing because it's what I'm now used to, for another because the miniaudicle on windows curently doesn't like using the computer keyboard as a controler. _________________ Kassen |

miniaudicle crashes after adding a shred with audio output in it on OS X 10.4.7/MacBook. i've tried a variety of different audio settings, etc.
does anyone know what the default bit-depth of ChucK is? is it user-configurable? running ChucK seems to reset my Audio MIDI settings to 16-bits. |

There is a bug on osx/intel. Spencer has fixed the issue (we think), and will release a new miniAudicle today (0.1.3.5).
The default bit depth is 32-bit float, and is currenlty not configurable but we are thinking of adding flags to set this.
Hope this helps! |

audicle source released |
|
|
from the mailing list:
Greetings!
audicle-1.0.0.3 (quintesson) is available:
http://audicle.cs.princeton.edu/
This is the first release of the audicle source code (what horrors...), which will finally enable linux users to crash their systems using the Audicle.
Additionally, there is now formal documentation for the Audicle - thanks to the great efforts of Scott Elmegreen and Ananya Misra:
http://audicle.cs.princeton.edu/doc/
Major thanks to the brave folks who have used the Audicle so far and those who have contributed to the wiki Audicle documentation effort and also suggested improvements. They include Graham Coleman, Shawn Shaknitz, Scot Gresham-Lancaster, Gary Scavone, and the wonderful people of PLOrk (http://plork.cs.princeton.edu/people.html).
Lastly, please email us or post to [chuck-users] or [audicle] with questions, issues, insights, and diatribes.
http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/community/
Thanks! Happy ChucKing.
Best,
audicle team
