Hi all,

New here. Just started dabbling in electronics this past week.

I have a basic hang of it (was able to wire things up based off schematics this weekend, with minimal issues), but really want to move on to creating project enclosures for some of these designs, or at least to create a surface with a bunch of pots and switches that I can then use along with breadboard experiments.

But.. not sure how to do that.

Any advice or directions on installing pots and switches onto a projects enclosure?

its really easy, most switches and pots you can buy can be bought as panel mounting. They usually have a nut that is supplied with them that will allow you to place the pot through a hole on the panel and then use the nut to attach it to the panel. You can buy knobs for the pots as well and they will either fit tightly onto the pot or be screwed in.

hope that helps

That's evidently my problem.

When I bought a bunch of supplies I didn't get the panel type of mounts, so no washers or nuts. Yay!

I was just staring at this hunk of metal wondering how it'd fit Smile

Thanks!
