Access Virus Filter on NM |

Is it possible to recreate the character of the filter on NM?? i think that this task requires the connection of different filters using feedback lines. _________________ Dark Psychedelic Emotions |

it's not exactly what I want. As i understood in that topic the guy created synth model which has almost the same filter routing as Virus has.
I want to know is it possible to get the sound of the filter. |

| What does it sound like? All the Virus demos I have heard are swamped with FX. Don't they do a moog emulation on the C and up? |

Wow, that's a lot of data.
Anyway, sounds like a pretty conventional 4 pole filter to me. Thanks for posting it. For all the hype, I was expecting something really unusual. I think the NM is quite capable of making these sounds. I guess it depends in what you are listening for though.
Maybe you should download the free G2 demo and listen to those filters. Then you could decide for yourself. _________________ --Howard

Nah, the virus filter isn't unusual, it's just high quality. I think the main difference is in how the feedback path works, this mainly affects the usual suspects-; high resonance and high frequencies. The situation can be improved by taking the feedback loop out of the filter module itself and putting a extra interpolation function in it. This -however- runs into execution order trouble on the NM as well as a extra sample delay which means it'll be detuned, especially at higher frequencies.
The G2 filters share that bt of code so just taking a G2 doesn't fix it nor can the G2 do anything about the extra sample delay, the G2 does have more facilities for dealing with the execution order trouble. _________________ Kassen |
