Subject description: Extremly low output signal

Hi
I have built my SoundLab and have been troubleshooting it for two weeks now. I need some input about where to look next.

The output signal is extremely low. So low that I can barely hear some frequencies (the rest are impossible to hear) while on max gain and output volume. I run the machine through an external amplifier which works.

The LM13700 seems to be fine (I have tried 7 different parts with the same result).
I did have a problem with the CD40106 for the AR generator (a faulty part, it was shorted internally) but there is no difference with a good part. My guess was that this short ate all the current from the +9V source so the rest of the synth was starved but changing the CD40106 did not solve the problem.

The output from OSC1, OSC2 and NG has an amplitude of about 2 V.

I do get a lower value on the output (~0.5 V) of the buffer on the LM13700 than on the input (~1.2 V) of the buffer, even though that circuit should have a high amplification rate (right?).

The control signal for the amp bias seem a little strange but my knowledge is not enough to know whetter this is right or not. The input signals from Initial Gain (R19), AR (S4) and LFO (S5) seems to have very small effect on the bias value, in total about 0.5 V. (The same effect is shown on the VCF LM13700, maybe it is normal?)

I have checked the wiring I don't know how many times, everything seems to be according to drawing.

The batteries I'm using are good as in "works in other devices" and there is no difference with other batteries.

So, anyone have any suggestion on what could be the problem or what I need to check next. I'm getting out of ideas.

Thanks

/Fredrik
