Nothing wrong. I don't like editing anyone's posts, even slightly, without making it known. Maybe I should just do this kind of editing in steath mode.
As a general point, anyone posting an event that has a date should consider filling out the calendar event form so it shows up on the calendar.
The calendar form shows up on the Post Edit window on the first post of a new topic. Here is an example. To add a date, just click on the little calendar with the yellow star. Check the "advanced" box if it is an event that covers multiple days. Last edited by mosc on Fri Mar 12, 2004 7:31 pm; edited 1 time in total |

You're welcome, Carlo.
The software is a little messed up. Sometimes it's hard to see if the date is in European or American mode. I'm trying to fix it, but it's hard to fix someone else's code. Right now, it's sort of half fixed. Still, it's quite usable. Let me know if there are any questions or problems. |

yes, it'a little messed up: if, for any reason, you go back to edit a post containing a calendar event, once you open it it looses the correct date, so you have to write it up again. Annoying _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Hmm, that is didn't know. I'll take a look at this today. I notice you went back and edited the posts you did yesterday for all of the events in NY and Paris - thank you.
The Subject (title) of these event postings need to be as descriptive as possible, because when people look at them in a listing, they'll know which ones they might be interested in reading. There are only a few of us that read every post. |

Thanks again. I fixed it.
The calendar feature uses the European date format, which is fine but it is confusing to Americans. I tried to modify the code to use a non-cultural format like 4-MAR-04, but it's too complicated because the dates are stored in the database in the European format - not great coding technique but the code's free. |
