Connecting the synthstick to others |
 |
|
Hi, I don't know if its been done, or if anyone asked how, but i'm hoping to do a few things:
i'm reworking the mylar part of the synth stick to make it durable for "slides", if you know what i mean. i'm going to try uncoated tape measure or unpainted horizontal blind slat. I noticed when the tape measure in face down and you push it like a button, it clicks just like a button. What do you all think of this idea?
Next, where could i connect this to the wacky noise thingy? Should the SS input stick (which is almost a pot) be connected instead of a pot somewhere? Its spaced at being 1Mohm, if i put in parallel a 1.2M resistor to give the electricity some where to go when its not being pressed, will this work in place a pot??
next, where could i find the final schematics for the simple analog sequencer. I like the simplicity of it, the big one (with the 2 boards for sale) is way to big to hook up to the synth sticks basic square wave circuit. The little one in the watch box is exactly what i need.
Id Also like to hook one of the same seq to the wacky box so if any one has any ideas id love to hear them.
Much thanks in advance!!

That sounds perfect! Good idea!
You could use sandpaper or a chemical cleaner to remove any paint from the tape measure or blind slat if need be.
Let me know how that works out when you get it done. I might copp your design!
I dont know the answers to your other questions.
Cheers

Yeah, really good idea.
Not only for the tactile feel it would give but for the inherent durability of thin tempered steel.
I'm thinking of getting back into my slide idea as well, but I'm going to hook mine up to Ray's single bus to CV/Gate circuit. That way I can get tone and gate being generated by the hand on the slide, and have a free hand to tap a modified drum input which will mod the filter. _________________ What makes a space ours, is what we put there, and what we do there. |
