So. I finish-ish-ed my Soundlab. It looks like Hello-Kitty puked all over it. I had fun with the front panel. I ran out of money before I could get knobs, so me and my girlfriend made them from sculpey. She painted them. The octopus volume knob kills me.
and then my camera died. I would have liked to have gotten a better shot before I ran out of batteries.
I'm still having trouble with my square/pulse, but I'm sure another week of staring blankly at the board will fix it.
The empty holes at the bottom are for the sample and hold, which i've finished, but haven't added. I can't seem to find a SP4T switch. |

superb
as for the sp4t switch, I think you just get a rotary switch (I think they normally have around 12 "throws") and limit it to 4? Not actually done it so can't say for sure!
And yes the octopus rocks |

Thanks! My girlfriend made the octopus knob.
We used Sculpey . Then we painted them and coated them with an acrylic gloss. |

That is one lusciously scary looking SoundLab. A hand made synth with hand made knobs! Very cool.
You could also use Fimo, possibly even Das.
I agree with Mosc, there is definitely the potential for a very profitable on-line business here. The available knobs on the market are fairly boring compared to what you could come up with.
And the potential for marketing them on-line is huge. People could choose between shapes, colours, labeling, pictures, logos, etc. etc. You could have them all cataloged and thumbnailed.
