Great stuff.

You have an LM1448 in the BOM. That probably needs to be the LM1458?

Looks great Fonik, top job! Cool
I would get one, but I've just got way too much on my plate right now.

Is there a specific reason you have chosen silver mica caps?
Or more specific, can I use polystyrene there? I have plenty of 1nF polystyrene, but would have to order the (expensive) silver mica ones.

it's good practice, i think - and it follows the original design. you may use poly or ceramic instead...

Yes, but general poly or ceramic would be less stable I guess. That's why I wondered if silver mica was chosen for a property that polystyrene also has (low leakage, for example).

Ray Wilson still specifies either silver mica or polystyrene for his VCO (where others chose polypropylene, by the way).

Anyway, I'll try polystyrene and see how that sounds. There's only one shop over here that sells 1nF silver mica (at about 3 euros each). I might get them if I need something else from them...

Silver Mica and Polystyrene both have low Dielectric absorption, which isn't just about leakage, it's also about how the cap discharges as well, and the uniformity that the charge is released. Both would be good.

Here's a sticky on the subject (look at the bottom for Blue Hell's link, not the original post).
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-7474.html

I think DA% is discussed in Part II of the article. Either way, everyone should read both articles on choosing capacitors (as well as the many other papers at that site!)

I have two suggestions for a possible future run:

C16 is a bit too close to U4. 680nF WIMA doesn't fit, for instance. Also, it's useful to have an extra hole at 5mm as well for the larger capacitors.

C7, C9 and C11 could also do with 5mm spacing. The only thing I have that actually fits there is multilayer ceramic, which is of course terrible in the audio path.

Otherwise: great job!

WIMA MKS-2-5 would fit.

I see WIMA also have 680nF in the MKS02 line so I think I´m off to stock up on MKS02 caps.

yes, you are right: the MKS02! that's the one with RM2.5, NOT the MKS-2-5! my fault.

Fonik, this looks like an awesome project! I missed the original announcement, are there any boards left over? I'd take 2 in a heartbeat! If not, will there be another run?

Regards,
Phil

By the way, is the "wet" output supposed to be lower gain than the "dry" output?
I need to have to mix output at about 90% and up to even hear the filtered signal.
