REDFADESBEFOREBLUE |

Greetings all,
First, I must say that this has got to be the most supportive and positive forum I've found on the web. With that out of the way, let me give you some background on REDFADESBEFOREBLUE:
My project started early in 2000. I had always been captivated by ambient/experimental music and embarked on a journey that has seen four self-released albums and collaborations since it's fruition. I focus primarily on modern ethno-ambient soundscapes, as well as dark ambient sound collage. To create these lush electronic environments I incorporate Novation, KORG, Roland and other soft synths. Also, I use field recordings and found objects then mangle them via computer. I've been influenced by the works of Robert Rich, Steve Roach, Mike Patton, Merzbow, Mandible Chatter, VAS, Inlakesh, and recently Tonto's Expanding Headband. In the fall of 2003 I collaborated with independent sound designer and electronic musician Mark Mahoney which led to the birth of AMARANTH SIGNAL. Roger Haussmann is also involved in this project, and without his generosity and enthusiasm, it may have never existed. Feel free to stop by my website (which is in dire need of an update, I apologize in advance) and feel free to tell me what you think. I will have music uploaded by 3.22.04 for all of you to enjoy, critique, remix, whatever. Take care and thanks for reading.

Hi RFBB
welcome, if this is "the most supportive and positive forum" it means you have been watching it for enough time to come up with this impression.

Sorry for the delay. I have two tracks available for download with more on the way. These are big files, dial-up may seem like an eternity (that would be a cool song title). Feel free to citique or criticise, and feedback is good feedback. The site is still under construction, so please mind the mess.

If anyone out there is monitoring this...
My latest release COMPENDIUM is now available through Gears of Sand.
Visit http://www.gearsofsand.com for ordering info. and track previews. My website is in dire need of an update so nothing new has been added for months.
Also, I will be attending/performing the conference in Philly this June with Mark Mahoney. This will not be an Amaranth Signal performance as one of our members can not attend. We will have merchandise available if anyone would rather save on postage or have the chance to meet and trade material. Take care. _________________ "Oh, it's yours? Either Mark or myself will contact you with that information as soon as possible. When will performance schedules be posted? I can't express enough how excited we are to be apart of this. As I've said in the past... this is a great forum. Possibly the best on the web, certainly one of the most active and supportive. Such a relief. By the way my name is Michael and I look forward to meeting you. Take care _________________ "Oh, it's yours? Applications for electro-music 2005 are due by the end of February.
At that point, Howard and I will see where we stand in terms of the numbers.
We'll contruct a preliminary list, and (if necessary) a waiting list. We'll send out notices to everyone and ask for their confirmation if they want to participate. We intend to do that by mid-March. I guess that confirmation will be required by April 1, which coincidentally is the last day for the 10% registration discount. So I expect we'll have the final list of participants by April 1. The actual schedule may take a little longer to work out.
I'm also very excited about this event, and the chance to meet and potentially make some music with many of the fascinating characters here on the forum. |
