Yes, on or about the 30th of October a promise was made that everyone who bought the boards would receive an electronic copy of the schematics. As of yet I have not received this either.

I went looking through the old threads to find the ZIP file, it has disapeared. Even Fonik's site has a dead link. Hence my asking for the information. I usually like to wait for the Docs to be finalized so that when I build I'm not hindered by lower rev problems. Seems I should have downloaded what there was when there was.

I can understand wanting to protect intelectual property, but could the strings loosen just a little? Please...

I thought the schemos were being emailed out with the order. In any event, I'll make sure you get them.

Thanks Scott,

Not trying to bust stones or anything. Just making sure as many loose ends are tied as I can. Its better to get the sauce out of the pan when it's still warn so to speak. I'd rather raise these questions when this project is still fresh. Very Happy

I know that with a project of this magnitude, it's easy for things to splip by a little. Wink

first of all, thank to you all, guys, for making this possible! respect!

and second, as danno wrote before, please give us (those who bought the boards) somehow access to the schematics. be it just for debugging purposes - without schematics quite "challenging"... Smile

We never intended not to supply the schematics (I wouldn't be involved in any project that didn't).

Cheers,
Scott

Oh, I know that Scott,

Believe me, I had no intentions of challenging your character, or intentions. I'm a firm believer that the potential for oversights and minor slippages is directly proportional to magnitude of the project or the "rush factor" applied to it.

We who are not inside the process find it all too easy to be impatient and / or demanding. Those of you who have been working on the "birth" of this child of yours have done so much that we have not seen or been privy to. This has been an immense undertaking. All of your teams products to date have been incredibly professional.
Exclamation
Please consider my inquiry merely a friendly request or reminder. No acrimony intended whatsoever. Very Happy

Oh, I didn't find it acrimonial, I appreciate you letting me know. I'm just trying to figure out how to go about delivering the dern thing on dial-up.

Cheerio,
Scott

Here's a good way of doing it.......

If Ray can do it, why not, right?

How about a short term page on your website. You could then send each buyer a url via dialup that points them to the place they can download the file(s). Once all buyers have downloaded the info, or at a pre selected expiration time the page goes away.

The way I look at it, Ken Stone and Ray and nearly everyone else makes their schematics freely available. The original schematics bobbed around on this page for a year with only one person I know of actually building it, which is cool, too. I've made loud noises about admiring that concept, so maybe it ought to go where my mouth is.

I was intending on doing a theory of operations of the schematics, and distributing that would have been a drag. This will make it much easier.

I think this makes it easier for everyone around - Mosc, myself, and above all you guys that are buying the boards. Sorry to the team members for moving unilaterally on this, but I think it's for the better.

Cheers,
Scott

Started thinking about a panel layout. Needs more work but this is what I am thinking.

Edisonrex
Quite a unique layout - I like that.
What dimensions are you using for the panel? That looks like it will fit MOTM size rack, yes?

I've been resisting a 19 inch rack format for the Klee, and would much rather build it into my modular - but it looks like it'll take a lot of real estate...
Nice Job.

And Scott - Thanks for the schematics.

RF: The format should either fit on 19" 8H, or MOTM with some tweaks. notice all of the blank space around the edges Smile

still working out the idea. Trying to give enough space for fat fingers, without taking up an entire cabinet.

Verdana, but note the highlights on the logo.

Klee Takes New Jersey, Rolls Into Canada

Security Council Panics;Colonel Krunkus Still Missing; Manganaro Goes Into Exile; Bugs Takes Cover In UK, Fenn Gives Slip - Leaves Authorities Holding Nappies; Stites Parachutes Into Nebraska;"Resistance is technically not unfutile" Claims General Moscovitz

Well, we never planned on sending paper copies. I think posting the schematics will certainly work better than piling on the pointless duty of emailing them out. It'll make it much easier to troubleshoot any potential build problems/questions that may come up here.

I'm surprised Etaoin hasn't finished his yet. Laughing

Cheers,
Scott

That would explain it. You did the Bugs layout of the QFG in what, 5 minutes? Laughing

I usually spend at least three days just staring at the board.....
