Wow - welcome news about Ray's trigger/gate levels. I was all primed to say oh, no-no-no, but I see his new ADSR board does react to >2V.

The reason? I built a version of Ray's ADSR with the state indicating LEDs (and also, his original AR version) - if you look at those designs, he indicates 0 to +12V, though, IIRC, 10V seemed to work fine.

The reason I say "IIRC" is that, because they wouldn't trigger off of my Thomas Henry +5V Gate/Trigger, I outfitted each EG with a comparator that would pomp-op the volume on the gate/trigger signals so they worked with everything in my system. So - if your Ray Wilson EGs are the old style, 5V won't trigger/gate.

BTW, Music From Outer Space has my vote for the most entertaining/informative SDIY site there is. Ray is king. Very Happy

Thanks for checking the PAiA Bill!

Cheers,
Scott

Build manual page 75 and 76, the list of 100k resistors is the same as the list of 6k8 resistors...

6k8 list should probably be R32-R47.

Thank you, Etaoin. Looks like that error also affects Appendix B, Page B1.

I'll post the individual page corrections as well as Issue 3.

Hope that didn't jack anybody up Embarassed

I'm going to put links to all of the current docs in the first post of this thread. That'll create a common place for everyone to be sure they have the latest version.

If anyone else happens across anything like this, please post here or PM me, and I'll correct things as they're brought to my attention.

Cheers,
Scott

Here is Build Issue 3, which corrects the 6K8 reference designator error Etaoin pointed out. The corrected pages are also posted here - if you've already printed Build Issue 2, you can replace the erroneous pages with these pages.

I'm now going to work on Post 1 of this thread and create a place you can find all of the links to all of the docs people don't have to skim the thread looking for it all.

Thanks again, Etaoin. That's a biggee.

Edit: Don't Download Issue 3 - Issue 4 will cover some more issues here shortly.

Deleted balloxed Issue 3. Issue 4 posted later in thread. Post 1 of the thread provides link as well.

Cheers,
Scott

Spotted another one. Page 78, U1 and U8. it says LM358 in the list but LM356 in the placement guide.

Last one for today; P89, R34-R41 are actually 7 or 8 trimmers, (doc says 5 or 6).

"Doh" is one letter short of the word I'm actually saying Very Happy

Thanks Etaoin - I'm keeping track here - looks like R29 ain't in the appendix either.

Formatting on Issue 3 got corked up on a few pages as well.....

Issue 3 will soon be supplanted. Issue 4 will be known as the Etaoin version. I imagine, as quick as he was finding them, he was probably building at the same time.....

Sorry guys, you're going to have to spin your hard drives and modems again here in a bit.

And thanks Etaoin.

Issue 3 was too hastily issued, and the formatting on a few pages got screwed up as well. After Issue 3 was put out, Etaoin uncovered some more issues.

I'll write up a decent errata (erotica?) sheet between issues 2 and 4, with mention that issue 3 was just tossed. In the meantime, these additional pages will correct issue 2.

These pages cover the missing R29 in the build section and Appendix A, the erroneous depiction of an LM356 instead of LM358 on the IC placement illustration, and the miscount of the number of 10K trimpots on the Analog Board.

Issue 4 incorporates all of the corrections to Issue 2.

Sorry to all and thank you Etaoin for spotting and pointing out the mistakes. If any others pop up, please let me know.

Cheers,
Scott
