I use the vocoder a lot, and would like to assign it to its own output, so I can have the vocals go through their own line on my PA. How do I split the vocoder, even if I'm using the vocoder on 2 slots and something else on the other 2 slots. I ONLY want the vocoder to go through its own output. Is this possible? Is there a way to set it up so that no matter what performance I'm in the vocoder patches will always go through their own output?

No other way than patching the vocoder in all patches to the correct output yourself.

or output 3 and 4 for stereo. Use 1 and 2 as main stereo out.

Ehmmm, by drawing a cable in the editor from the vocoder signal output to an output module. This is very basic G2 patching; have you read the manual? If not, I'd encourage you to do so as it is very informative.

I was actually wondering if there was a way to do it in the machine itself -- rather than on the computer.

Yes, if you have a G2 key or G2X, push the patch button, navigate to the 2-Out module with the arrow keys. If the patch uses the FX area then you will want the 2-Out module in the FX area. You can then select output 3/4.

You cannot change any virtual patch cords without the editor, but this is just pressing a button on one of the modules.
