tonight I celebrate the power of moog, with a set using only my new micromoog for sounds, with looping from my electrix repeater and delays of doom from my dynachord ec 280 and boss dd-20

signal path: micromoog -> repeater -> ec 280 -> dd-20

for some reason I thought this was Episode 56, but it wasn't Wink

After some deliberation I have decided to not continue uploading every show but instead use the recordings for further editing and processing and make new tracks out of them. I believe this will make them much more listenable, or at least a little more interesting ... hopefully. Smile

I will continue to do live shows as before though, and also concentrate on new ways to improvise with sound adventures. The journey has only just about begun. Wink

interesting decision Rob, but I think you could do both, use this thread to post shows for anyone who might have missed an episode, and then edit some for later release elsewhere Smile

I hope you'll keep posting "unedited" recordings here Rob, but no pushing here, just a would like. I'd look forward to edited ones as well Laughing

Sure, I can post some shows on here, unedited and all, but I think I will hold some back as well. It is not often that things goes to plan however, so we'll see. Razz

This episode is a bit schizophrenic, it starts by exploring the sounds of the yamaha sk-20 symphonic ensemble (organ/strings/polysynth) for some spacey drones in a mostly major key then goes a bit weird with the trax rota-synth rs-1, an analog sequencer/ synth that's good for less tonal stuff

sk-20 + trax rota-synth rs-1 -> resonator -> repeater -> dd-20

Episode 61 "The Last Person on Earth"

An exercise in desolation, using only Micron and MPC. The MPC actually locked up towards the end but kept on playing, which worked out ok.

Episode 62 looked doomed to failure as there were some serious technical difficulties just as I was due to start, but after a slowish start I got into it and had fun making possibly my weirdest show yet.

I used a Yamaha CS-01, Yamaha VSS-30 and voice as sound sources through a Korg Monotron, with sounds sampled into the VSS-30 from my ipod, this then went into a Korg PX3 for delay and phaser effects then into a pair of Boss DD-20 delays which were connected to each other in a feedback loop, running at slightly different times.

This lead to all sorts of droning and strange throbbing rhythmic effects Smile

For this episode I decided to try something a bit more melodic and rhythmic as my last few sets had all been more abstract noise/drone.

I used all digital sounds from a nord modular, korg ds8 and waldorf blofeld for sounds, and for the first time ever the repeater was synced to the nord by midi, so I could add stuff in time with the rhythmic stuff

The ds8 went through a frostwave resonator into the repeater for loops, the nord modular was used primarily for sequences and playing the blofeld, which supplied drones, flutes, choirs and the arpeggiated stuff
