I live in the same New Jersey township as Garden State Fireworks, which has apparently won all kinds of awards and (often? sometimes?) is sometimes involved in the huge fireworks display in New York every July 4.

They like to feel appreciated, but of course they're too busy on July 4 to put on a show here as well. So they do one every July 16. There's a local charity that puts on a little fair, with rides, food stands, etc., and the last day of the fair, the fireworks take the stage from 11:30 PM to midnight.

Since you ask, the truncation of the shadow from the tower breaks it for me. A valid experiment though Smile

He's 3/8 Hampshire 5/8 Yorkshire mix which have black patches mostly on the butt but randomly elsewhere as Boog does on his face between his left eye and ear. He is a very happy fellow and seems to get a great deal of joy out of life -- and especially beer.

I live near the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey. The place has an interesting history: It was originally supposed to be the site of a huge airport -- but the developers made the mistake of locating it in one of the wealthiest counties in New Jersey. So a bunch of locals bought the land and donated it to the federal government to keep it forever undeveloped.

Anyway, here's a picture of part of it.
