This is a Western Bearded dragon, his other eye was just a dried wound. So we assumed he was totally blind.
My brother got him to a wildlife clinic. The vet there found that the other eye had been wounded some time ago and skin had grown over it. He cut away the skin to find a perfectly good eye.
This bleeding eye was scabbed over but with a clean and some ointment he should be fine.
This little guy really grew on us, he was very docile and quite happy to snuggle up to anyone's nice warm skin. I am so happy he can see again!!
He will live at the wildlife refuge until he is well.
Well played, Andrew!
I'd love to see a vid of that, with you doing your best Steve Irwin impersonation, though! Just a thought. _________________ Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty. Where there are too many soldiers, there is no peace. Where there are too many lawyers, there is no justice.

No, my little boy... I'm sure I left that coin here!

Amazing Wout - where can I get a digicam like that
Easy! In The Netherlands one is not allowed to take medical X-ray pictures home, so be sure you have your normal digicam with you and take a picture of the screen in the doctors office. At home edit the picture by cutting away all around the original... Then add the black line.
The picture is part of my son's 'My Life in Pictures' series
About the coin...
It was a € 2.- piece, the biggest there is. The doctor explained: "When it fits up here, it will fit down there too..." Anyway, although we 'searched', we never found it again. Well, we reduced his weekly allowance a bit

I used to work at a graveyard (Nacka in Stockholm) and would sometimes help out at the crematorium.
Once the bones and ash were pulled out of the oven, we would use a big magnet to check for metal and have a look for any other objects, like coins, that may damage the grinder.
there was a big box full of steel hip and shoulder joints, screws, bolts and a few skull plates with rivets.
Next to that was another box full of old coins. Most of the coins were over 60 years old. People had swallowed them as children and never passed them...seventy years later we found them! It was a really good coin collection.
In The Netherlands one is not allowed to take medical X-ray pictures home.
that one sounds weird to me

Menno is more worthwhile than ever before it's a hard thing to swallow, did he tell you he had ingested it? _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

It's about investigations to medical procedures when somebody will complain about the medical treatment

Yes, he told me he swallowed it. I can tell if he's joking or not. The picture proofed he did.
Well, there was a second X-ray in which no coin was present, so it was thrown out or digested, who knows?
Cool, storks courting, very nice snapshots! _________________ Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty. Where there are too many soldiers, there is no peace. Where there are too many lawyers, there is no justice.

Could be as well ... things were not too clear as there were at least three storks and they were fighting over that nest pole too. I think in these pics one tried to chase the other from the nest. A bit later two were wandering around in a field together and that looked more like a couple. When I was young there used to be storks at about that same spot (at that time my grand parent's place, now my parents live there), but they hadn't been around for 40 years or so, good to see them come back and a wonderful sight.
Here is another one, showing the environment a bit.
