I haven't been posting much lately as I've frankly run out of ideas on what to patch. Embarassed At least I got DIY osc anti-aliasing nailed just now... (a personal victory)

FWIW, New Nord Piano coming. Press release I got this morning:

http://synth.me/music-gear/namm-2011-new-nord-piano-88-keyboard-revealed

I followed up with my Rep and he's told me that is NOT the new product. Something will be announced Thursday. Stay tuned for the details soon as they are in my sweaty little hands.

The Nord Piano has been available for some time. What's new about this announcement?

My advice, don't get too excited. Clavia have done this before, only to then announce something really dull. Rolling Eyes Wink

My prediction is an update of the Wave with more memory and the ability to use the Nord Piano Library. I will seriously consider getting one if and only if:

1) It also has a G2-like modular facility, which would allow samples to be used as modules, or

2a) It has a better way of organizing samples than by absolute numbers (with no way of telling which patches use which samples) and

2b) It has rotary encoders instead of knobs that can only cause their corresponding parameters to jump.

This other new synthesizer by Korg looks pretty interesting though. Not modular but very powerful.

The stage 2 looks pretty spectacular. I'm going to still use my G2. The future of modular is Sonic Core..

I doubt we'll know anything until NAMM officially opens (10 AM PST). We might not know anything until shortly before it closes.
