The Macbeth sure looks sweee-eeet.
thanks

I love it. It is capable of much more than I've managed to do in about 12 hours of playing with it. What's cool is you can go from a subtle phase effect to ModulationVille in about a quarter of a knob turn. Very nice modulation effects from it.
And thanks about the Macbeth. It gets used a lot. Although now I have some more filter options. The Macbeth's filters, although nice, are limiting in scope. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Your Doepfer is a fine system and you're doing very well with it. There is a lot of variety to be had out there. At least you don't have two different patch cable systems yet. (notice I said "yet") _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Hey thanks, that was what I had hoped to hear about the Encore. It just moved way up the list! _________________ doctorvague's youtube channel |

Cheers, ER!
Yeah, I'm having fun with my Doepfer. I'm taking it slowly as I really need to get into the modular mindset. Little things like possible modulation routings - I'm still stuck in the non-modular mindset!
Bringing it back on-topic, is there anything more lovely than the inside of a modular?

It is 10v p-p
It's innards have a digital quadrature generator driving analogue stages.
I've never heard JH's, but if someone has a post of one, I'd compare it.
The Encore unit is very rich sounding, especially with complex waves input. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Nah! Even though I did not really want to, I just had to get rid of some things I wasn't using as much anymore. I was sad to see it all go, but got rid of most of the chairs, a table, and the couch. Plenty of room now for more synthesizers!
Clockwise: Oberheim 2voice, CS-15, OB-1, OX-7, SEM, Rogue ,Prodigy, Pro-1, Odyssey, MS-20, Indigo2, Voyager, Synclavier2, PS-3100, 100M, Minimoog/Modular, 960 sequencer bank. |

There is one here protected by 3 pitbulls along with other vintage goodies. I had a bit of a go on it when I bought my PS-3100 from it's owner, but I was more interested in the ARP 2600 _________________ " I went through quite a few trannies til I found one I liked" - Wild Zebra |

Absolutely glorious, Beermaster!!!! I always love seeing your setup!
Do you happen to have a module type count of all your synths? Not by brand and specific model, just total VCO's, VCF's, Sequencers, etc etc. I know a lot of theem may not fit into a specific category but it's not critical, I'm just damn curious! |

Thanks for the compliment !
There are actually 40 dedicated VCOs ( excluding LFOs, wavetable VCOs, sub harmonic VCOs etc ) in 'Fat Bastard' and I also have 9 Analogue Systems RS90s/95s in my work studio.
Must make a full module count once its finished... or before the bank forecloses ! |
