Alright, I kept playing around with percussive synths and somehow fell in love with a 'click'-percussion Very Happy ... then built up a track in 3/4 patterns around it. It's not easy to describe... fast, weird percussion (did I mention the word 'click'? Wink - it's actually not click, but I can't find a better word for it), with mellow pads and some strange synths, only slight hints of techno.
I'm actually not sure if this track is crap or if it has some potential, so I'm hoping for your experimental-experienced ears to judge. Please take a listen Smile

Oh, and it's called Part 1, because if you like it, there might be a successor Wink

Hmmm,

I love this stuff. It was way too short, though!

Nice mix of percussion and atmosphere, with the occasional jagged edge to keep it interesting.

Give me part two!

It's cool. I like this one lots. The click percussion works well, it somehow adds to the mood, making it sort of stressy.

I particularly like the random bell-like ending!

hello lars //

i'm new to these forums but i saw your post and figured i'd give you a shot. the track certainly isn't crap. it has potential to be many things. depends on where you want to go with it. a downtempo beat would work well with this.

i do like the off-time lfo on the hpf synth near the middle of the song. the bell arps at the end are nice but the final release gets cut off by the end of the track. maybe extend the record-time out another couple of seconds to capture the full decay.

anyway i enjoyed the overall feel to it. kind of action/suspense/thriller feel going here. most excellent.

keep up the good work. Cool

PS - check out my latest (and first here) release: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-3850.html and throw me some feedback!

Lars,
Nice work. Evocative. Cinematic. Could hear it in any visual context. Do you like the mix? Cheers.

I keep coming back to the track with renewed inspiration. In fact the track has inspired my own music recently, and when the track is done, i would like your opinion on it and perhaps help me with a working title idea. I am inspired by this!

Very Happy
