Jürgen Haible is dead Subject description: JH died 5 days ago. Reason for his death is unknown. |

Hello,
Sorry if this news has been posted already by someone else here in the forum (I am quite new to it, registered just for the purpose of making this announcement), but I think you should know:
I have to tell you that Juergen Haible has been found dead in his home in Nuremberg, Germany some days ago. The reason for his death is unknown yet; it seemed to have stricken him "out of the blue".
Appended you will find the death notice from today's Nuremberg newspaper.
I suppose many people here knew Juergen very well, at least from his talents in designing pcbs, helping others building them, and making excellent electronic music. Me being "all thumbs" in electronics, I always admired how he combined his technical and musical skills with his desire to let everybody participate in his progresses. But more, I lose a friend who had been - together with his wife Birgit - in our church in Erlangen/Tennenlohe for a long time and with whom we shared many good hours. We had gotten out of sight for a couple of years, but "met" again only some weeks ago on Facebook.
Our thoughts are with his family; his two cute children, Tassilo and Anais, aged 10 and 2, lost a loving father.
If someone is interested, I can leave some more note as soon as I know more.
Best regards,
Harry

Wow. That is so unbelievably sad. Let us know if there will be any memorial fund for his children or for his services. He was a tremendous inspiration for many of us. He is already missed. Last edited by valis on Thu Dec 01, 2011 10:09 am; edited 1 time in total |

Oh no...No. That is so hard to believe or bear.
I bought 2 of his CDs way back before he was selling PCBs and have many modules of his that haven't been finished yet. I was so looking forward to sharing with him the results of what he had created.
Thoughts go out to his friends and family. He will always be remembered by us here. _________________ Looking for a certain ratio since 1978 |

I've emailed the pastor of Jurgen's church, asking if there's any way we can help his family. I'll post any responses here.
Thanks
